Our Vision
The inaugural Caribbean Affairs Conference at Yale, to be held in the Spring of 2025, will seek to highlight the various intersectional issues facing the Caribbean region in the coming decades. We want to reflect on the current situation in the Caribbean and build a vision for the future of the region. A series of panels will provide insight on various intersectional challenges that the West Indies are facing now, and in the coming decades. The panels will be followed by workshops led by experts, designed to engage participants in brainstorming solutions across various fields.
The goal is to examine connections between areas such as public health, technological innovation, the environment, the economy and the geopolitical future of the Caribbean. While taking in consideration the importance of the strong cultural and historical background we want to imagine a Caribbean made for the Caribbean people.
